The Agreement


The Agreement, which consists of the Booking Form and these Terms and Conditions, does not include any other oral or written promises, terms or conditions. Any amendment or change to the Agreement shall have no effect unless agreed upon in a writing that refers specifically to the Agreement and is executed by duly authorised representatives of both parties.

Damage and Resposibilities


The Customer shall be liable for any loss, damage, personal injury or death arising out of or in connection with the Studio Hire, except to the extent that such loss, damage etc. is caused by the negligence of Des Fildes Lmited, its servants or agents and the Customer indemnifies Des Fildes Lmited against any claim brought against Des Fildes Lmited in relation to any such matters. 


The Customer shall be liable for any loss or damage caused to the Studio and Gallery and the furnishings, pictures or objects in the Studio and Gallery by any act or omission of the Customer, its sub-contractors or guests of the Customer, and shall pay to Des Fildes Lmited on demand the amount required to remedy any such damage. 


The prior consent of Des Fildes Limited must be obtained for any entertainment or services contracted for the booking by the Customer, all of which must comply with any statutory codes and regulations. The Customer shall indemnify Des Fildes Limited for any loss or damage resulting from the acts or omissions of such third party suppliers.


Any materials used in connection with the construction of any sets by the Customer shall be forthwith removed from the Studio at the end of the hire period at the expense of the Customer.


Des Fildes Limited reserve the right to make a charge for any excess cleaning that may be necessary.

Booking and Cancellation


The final details of the Studio Hire (such as final timings, menus and special requests) must be confirmed at least 5 working days before the Studio Hire.


If the Customer cancels the Studio Hire within 5 working days they are entitled to 100% refund. If the cancellation is within 72 hours they are entitled to a 50% refund. Any cancellation within 48 hours will be charged at the full amount'


Des Fildes Limited shall reimburse any remaining balance to the Customer onto the Paypal account used for the original booking in the event of cancellation.


Provisional bookings


Provisional bookings will be automatically cancelled if they are not confirmed by the client (by signing and returning the booking confirmation form) within 24 hours of the proposed booking.

Intellectual Property

The Customer shall not use any of Des Fildes Limited's trademarks or intellectual property without our prior written consent.



Des Fildes Limited do not accept liability for loss or damage to any object, equipment, furniture, stock or other property of any sort brought onto the premises by the Customer or their guests or hired by Des Fildes Limited on the Customer’s behalf howsoever such loss or damage may occur unless as a direct result of Des Fildes Lmited's negligence. All such property will remain under the care and control of the Customer and is entirely at the Customer’s own risk. 


Des Fildes Lmited shall have no liability to the Customer for any consequential loss to the Customer arising out of or in connection with the provision of the Services pursuant to the contract formed by these Terms and Conditions and the total liability of Des Fildes Lmited for any other loss of the Customer shall not exceed the price payable by the Customer for the Services. 


The Customer shall take out before the Event or Hire Period and maintain during the Event or Hire Period public liability insurance and where necessary employers liability insurance in respect of its liabilities under these Terms and Conditions with an insurer approved by Des Fildes Limited and for an amount of cover not less than two million pounds sterling. 


The Customer shall, at the request of Des Fildes Limited, produce before the Event a certificate of such insurance for inspection by Des Fildes Limited. 


The Customer shall not do anything which will or might vitiate in whole or in part any insurance effected in respect of the Studio and Gallery from time to time 



Any equipment made available to the Customer is in good condition. Des Fildes Limited will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from any failure, use or misuse of the equipment nor in respect of any direct or indirect consequential loss arising there from.It is the responsibilty of the Customer to make checks both for completeness and for correct functioning and suitability of any studio equipment, materials, backgrounds made available.


The Customer must notify Des Fildes Limited at the time of supply if the condition of any of these items is not acceptable. Des Fildes Limited will not be liable for any consequential loss either directly or indirectly arising from the unsuitability of these items.


Any equipment or items lost, stolen or damaged while in the Customer's possession will be the entire responsibility of the Customer and be charged at the full replacement cost.



Des Fildes Limited will not be responsible for any loss or damage to vehicles or contents parked in front of the building or in the company car park.
